It's summer now, so the markets are full and brimming over with fresh vegetables and fruits. Because the weather is so extreme here, I tend to like comfort type food in the winter and in the summer try to stick with lighter meals focusing on salads. Here is a yummy one with carrots, radishes, zucchini and mint leaves. Salt and pepper and olive oil to taste.

The salad looks delicious. I'd so like to know more about Ukraine.
I am most familiar with the poor street children, to whom collect clothes every spring and autumn.
I very well know there must live hundred of thousands of ordinary and interesting people in Ukraine. I'm glad you came to visit me, and I am looking forwards to reading more from Ukraine.

I love salads... and I love zucchinis and cucumbers and gerkins and radishes. Mint leaves give it all a nice combination.
Somehow, I like the idea of visiting Kiev one day. Is it expensive, or is it possible to visit Kiev on a shoestring budget?

Felisol: I don't know much about Norway except that my favorite figure skater, Sonja Henie is from Norway! ;) I met some Christians here this summer who help with our ministry and it was interesting to talk with them. I would like to know more about your country and so I'm glad I found your blog!
Lidj: Kyiv is comparable to travel in other European countries. Airfare is probably expensive. The hard part is reasonably priced accommodations. If you want to come here, email me. ;)
